With rain forecasted and a fierce, cold wind racing across the lake, it was a perfect indoor kind of day…to the Patagonia Museum in Bariloche we went! Located right in Centro Civico, it houses exhibits about the natural history of the area, as well as the cultural history of the people (Information in English is provided throughout).
Inside the Patagonia Museum in Bariloche, the Natural History Room hosts many mounted specimens replicating the creatures that inhabit the area. The Cultural History area contains artifacts dating back 13,000 years and documents leading up to current times. While not a must-see destination amongst the stunning natural beauty of the region, for $3 USD and a break for our legs from trekking, it made for a good stop.
