Greece is a top destination that appeals to travelers worldwide - but it somehow escaped our attention for far too long. We visited Greece for the first time in 2023 - and were absolutely amazed. Marked with ancient history and dotted with hundreds of islands, Greece is incredibly diverse and stunningly beautiful.
We originally planned to spend a month in Greece - but ended up staying almost twice as long. We started in Athens, where we had family visit from the States. I (Sarah) joined them for a 2-week Island Hopping trip that included Crete, Santorini and Naxos. After we bid farewell to the family, we stuck around Athens for a bit longer, then set off on an island hopping trip of our own - first to Hydra and then Corfu.
