We spent nearly a month in Argentina in 2014 – just the second country we visited as full-time travelers. Our itinerary included two cities: Buenos Aires and Bariloche. We were slightly anxious about visiting Buenos Aires, as we had heard it was unsafe – but once we were there, it didn’t feel that way at all. We felt an energy in the city and loved exploring the city’s vibrant districts on foot (Central, Palermo, Recoleta).
In Bariloche, nature was the highlight. Our days were spent relaxing by the lake at the beach, hiking in the hills and parks and checking out the city sights (museum, cathedral, ski resort)– and, at night, we discovered the local pubs and sampled our way through the Bariloche craft beer scene.
