We’ve been to England several times – but only once have we left London (and that was for a housesit in the countryside of Kent). As budget-conscious travelers, we feared London would be too expensive for us, but we keep going back and discovering more ways to enjoy the city without breaking the bank!

In addition to the many free attractions in the city, we get a feel for the city by simply wandering some of the iconic neighborhoods (which undoubtedly culminates with a beer!). There is always something going on in London – and we’ve been fortunate to partake in some of the best London events, like New Year’s Eve fireworks over the River Thames.
