We’ve have traveled extensively through the UK over the years. Often it's fabulous housesitting opportunities that lure us here. As budget-conscious travelers, we feared the UK would be too expensive for us, but we keep going back and discovering more ways to enjoy Britain without breaking the bank!
In addition to the many free attractions, we get a feel for the area by simply wandering some of the iconic neighborhoods. There is always something going on in London – and we’ve been fortunate to partake in some of the best London events, like New Year’s Eve fireworks over the River Thames and Christmas in Hyde Park.
In 2022, we added both Scotland and Northern Ireland to our UK travels as well as Bristol, Bath and return visits to London and Kent.
2023 (and 2024) have turned into the summer(s) of Scotland, as we are absolutely smitten with all of it!
